But corporations are still getting a benefit\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cBuyback Monsters\u201d Perform Market Illusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.birchgold.com\/news\/corporate-crash-insurance-looks-more-like-sleight-of-hand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sleight of hand<\/a>\u201d illusion allowed Apple to&nbsp;<em>increase<\/em>&nbsp;their market cap by $118 billion in 2018 on news that it would complete share buybacks in the amount of $210 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They used tax incentives along with other forms of capital to complete the buyback. This move only helped Apple\u2019s economy and their shareholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But they\u2019re not the only company that has pulled off this amazing magical feat.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/02\/27\/companies-keep-buying-their-own-stock-in-force-led-by-buyback-monsters-like-home-depot.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Home Depot and \u201cnearly 80 others\u201d<\/a>are also dipping into the \u201cbuyback gravy train.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Home Depot is in a class of corporations I call \u201cbuyback monsters,\u201d companies that have reduced their share count outstanding by at least 25 percent since 2010. It is by no means alone.
