{"id":44133,"date":"2019-03-01T16:34:33","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T21:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=44133"},"modified":"2019-03-01T16:37:17","modified_gmt":"2019-03-01T21:37:17","slug":"venezuelas-foreign-minister-arreaza-holds-un-marathon-for-peace-usurper-guaido-urges-military-intervention-and-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=44133","title":{"rendered":"Venezuela\u2019s Foreign Minister Arreaza Holds UN Marathon for Peace: Usurper Guaido Urges Military Intervention and War"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalresearch.ca\/venezuela-arreaza-un-guaido-military-intervention-war\/5670110\">Venezuela\u2019s Foreign Minister Arreaza Holds UN Marathon for Peace: Usurper Guaido Urges Military Intervention and War<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalresearch.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/jorge-arreaza-400x225.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In a herculean effort to prevent war, and protect the integrity of his country, Venezuelan<strong>&nbsp;Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza<\/strong>&nbsp;held a breathtaking schedule of events at the United Nations, including a meeting with the Secretary-General, consultations with the envoys of 60 member states supporting Venezuela\u2019s sovereignty,&nbsp; a press conference the evening of February 22, speaking at a Security Council meeting February 26, &nbsp;and presenting an address at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on February 27.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arreaza\u2019s encyclopedic knowledge of history is one of his powerful assets, as he patiently clarified to reporters, at last Friday\u2019s press conference, the reality of US instigated economic warfare underlying Venezuela\u2019s current crisis.&nbsp; At one bizarre moment, a European reporter, asked, Mussolini-style, about a report that Venezuelan armed forces shot an unarmed indigenous person, and compared the incident to \u201cwhat happened in China.\u201d Arreaza asked whether the reporter had seen the incident, and, evading Arreaza\u2019s question the reporter continued:&nbsp; \u201cIs your government giving specific orders to shoot unarmed people, and what will happen to those who refuse to comply with these orders?\u201d&nbsp; The stupefying question, less a query, and more unsubstantiated innuendo, was asked with such arrogance and grandiosity that Arreaza, fully aware of the insinuation intended, replied:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cYour question is full of venom and very poisonous.&nbsp;The army of Bolivar has never had orders to fire on the civilian population, and you should be the first to assess the reliability of false \u2018reports,\u2019 and false flag operations.
