According to<a href=\"https:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/4241921-peter-schiff-real-national-emergency-border-debt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>&nbsp;Seeking Alpha<\/em>\u2018s report by&nbsp;<em>Schiff Gold<\/em>,<\/a>&nbsp;we should all we wary of the government\u2019s overspending and desire to tax more to make up for it. Just because we haven\u2019t suffered a crisis \u2013 YET- based on this debt doesn\u2019t mean that one isn\u2019t coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lhtwkYxIQrM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency so he could build a wall at the southern border. Based on that declaration, the president will reallocate $6.5 billion from other government programs to fund a border wall. But the problem isn\u2019t that we don\u2019t have a wall, says Schiff.&nbsp; The problem is we\u2019ve already built a wall of debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cOf course, the real national emergency is not the lack of a wall, the failure to build a wall, but building up the national debt.\u201d \u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/4241921-peter-schiff-real-national-emergency-border-debt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Peter Schiff via&nbsp;<em>Seeking Alpha<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United States debt surpassed the $22 trillion mark just last week and continues to rocket upward with no end in sight and this is just the very tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201c<\/em>This is just a funded portion of the debt.
