Their initiatives are straightforward. They\u2019ve agreed to refuse campaign contributions from fossil fuel <span class=\"caps\">PAC<\/span>s, they support carbon pricing, and they\u2019ll be working with constituents to drive higher demand for wind, solar, and hydropower in the Bay State, where today almost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/state\/analysis.php?sid=MA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one-sixth of electricity<\/a> comes from renewable\u00a0sources.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"dquo\">\u201c<\/span>It\u2019s a bottom-up approach that may well work,\u201d said newly elected <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kearney4rep\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Rep. Credit: Patrick\u00a0Kearney<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Building Grassroots Support for Climate\u00a0Action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GreenTeamMA members view climate change as a clear and present danger that requires an energy\u00a0recalculation.<\/p>\n<p>With one of the richest offshore wind reserves in the world and the capacity to build onshore wind and solar power plants to meet the growing energy needs of Massachusetts, the commonwealth is \u201cpoised to embrace a clean energy economy,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TommyVitolo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Rep.
