Many of those killed were civilians, and only a tiny percentage of the dead were al-Qaeda or Taliban leaders.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>She may be right \u2026<\/p>\n<p>The Council on Foreign Relations estimates that U.S. drone strikes outside of Iraq and Afghanistan have killed\u00a0<a title=\"3,674\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cfr.org\/zenko\/2014\/11\/21\/americas-500th-drone-strike\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>3,674<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0people.<\/p>\n<p>The Bureau of Investigative Journalism reports that up to\u00a0<a title=\"4,404\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thebureauinvestigates.com\/category\/projects\/drones\/drones-graphs\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>4,404<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0people have been killed \u2013 just in Pakistan and Yemen alone \u2013 between 2004 and 2014.<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s hard to estimate how many\u00a0<em>additional<\/em>\u00a0people have been killed by drone in Iraq and Afghanistan, a December 2012 report by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism found that US and UK forces had carried out\u00a0<a title=\"over 1,000 drone strikes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thebureauinvestigates.com\/2012\/12\/04\/revealed-us-and-britain-launched-1200-drone-strikes-in-recent-wars\/\" target=\"_blank\">over 1,000 drone strikes<\/a>\u00a0in Afghanistan over the previous five years.\u00a0 Given that<em>numerous<\/em>\u00a0people are often killed by\u00a0\u00a0<em>each<\/em>\u00a0drone strike, it is reasonable to assume that several thousand people have been killed by drone in that country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;click on the above link to read the rest of the article&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Obama Has Killed More People with Drones than Died On 9\/11 Many Civilians Are Being Killed By Drones Law school teacher Marjorie Cohn \u2013 president of the National Lawyers Guild \u2013\u00a0writes: Obama has killed more people with drones than died on 9\/11.
