Here we go again:\u00a0Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has once more<\/a>\u00a0threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz<\/strong>, which is vital to up to one-third of all global oil shipping<\/strong> as it’s a key transit choke point in the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday Iranian state broadcasts carried his words, saying \u201cif someday, the United States decides to block Iran\u2019s oil (exports), no oil will be exported from the Persian Gulf.\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>He\u00a0<\/b>further vowed that the United States will not be able to prevent Iran from exporting its crude\u00a0\u2014\u00a0<\/em>something the White House has repeatedly pledged to take down to zero exports through international allies and\u00a0economic blockade through sanctions.<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/em>The carrier deployment, though previously scheduled, was announced after the\u00a0US condemned Iran’s test firing a medium-range nuclear capable ballistic missile on Sunday<\/strong>.

\u201cThe United States should know that we are selling oil and we will sell our oil and it cannot block Iran\u2019s oil export<\/strong>,\u201d he said on Tuesday\u00a0addressing the people of Shahroud in Semnan province broadcast live on state TV.<\/p>\n

The United States and the Israeli regime cannot stand the idea of a powerful and dignified Iran, and the Iranian nation will not bow to them, Rouhani highlighted, adding, \u201cthe United States failed in launching a coup in our country<\/strong>. They were after separating Khuzestan province, imposing sanctions against the country, and undermining Iran\u2019s power, but they failed.
