In January of this year, he again showed his lack of diplomacy, tack and common decency, when he referred to many poorer countries as \u201csh*ithole countries\u201d, asking, \u201cWhy do we want all these people from sh*thole countries coming here?\u201d Former member of the House of Representatives Cynthia McKinney, in the new book she has edited, <\/span><span lang=\"en-CA\"><u>How the US Creates \u2018Sh*thole\u2019 Countries<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"en-CA\">, (Clarity Press) has gathered a collection of essays, including one of her own, that clearly shows that it is the U.S. that is largely responsible for the poverty and suffering in these very nations.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_31272\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a class=\"image-anchor\" href=\"https:\/\/consortiumnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/cynthia2-246x350.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31272\" src=\"https:\/\/consortiumnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/cynthia2-246x350.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"347\" height=\"483\" data-lazy-loaded=\"true\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">McKinney<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span lang=\"en-CA\">The first series of essays describes U.S. foreign policy, and its true motives. In the essay, <\/span><span lang=\"en-CA\"><i>The End of Washington\u2019s \u2018Wars on the Cheap\u2019<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-CA\">, The Saker sums up U.S. foreign policy as follows: \u201cHere\u2019s the template for typical Empire action: find some weak country, subvert it, accuse it of human right violations, slap economic sanctions, trigger riots and intervene militarily in \u2018defense\u2019 of \u2018democracy\u2019, \u2018freedom\u2019 and \u2018self-determination\u2019 (or some other combo of equally pious and meaningless concepts).\u201d The hypocrisy of such a policy is obvious. A weak and vulnerable nation is victimized by a far more powerful one.
