However, he&#8217;s a powerful leader and chief spiritual force behind\u00a0Iran&#8217;s conservative faction who has long been at odds with President Hassan Rouhani.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian opposition sources report that Alamolhoda told his followers during his Friday prayer sermon:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If we reach a point that our oil is not exported, the Strait of Hormuz will be mined. <strong>Saudi oil tankers will be seized and regional countries will be leveled with Iranian missiles<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"caption caption-img\" role=\"group\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Ahmad%20Alamolhoda.jpg?itok=uBPS9V5g\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Ahmad%20Alamolhoda.jpg?itok=uBPS9V5g\" data-link-option=\"0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Ahmad%20Alamolhoda.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/inline_image_desktop\/public\/inline-images\/Ahmad%20Alamolhoda.jpg?itok=uBPS9V5g 1x\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"0ea4d26a-f812-4af9-975e-f6ca94d7d26f\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/a><figcaption><em>Prominent hardline cleric\u00a0Ahmad Alamolhoda<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The cleric is further reported to have declared that Iran has the power to <strong>&#8220;instantly&#8221; create conditions for $400 a\u00a0barrel oil<\/strong> prices if it decides to act in the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n<p>He said as reported in\u00a0regional opposition media:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>If Iran decides, a single drop of this region&#8217;s oil will not be exported and in 90 minutes all Persian Gulf countries will be destroyed.<\/strong> The UAE and Saudi Arabia will be destroyed in 60 minutes. After 90 minutes the U.S. will have nothing in this country. And we haven&#8217;t even started with Israel. Beware of the day we go after Israel, too.
