We see efforts being made to involve more and more NATO member countries, I mean the Balkans first of all.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/world\/1038094\/world-war-3-russia-georgia-ukraine-nato-inf-treaty-vladimir-putin-donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the <em>Express UK<\/em>,<\/a>\u00a0Andrei Kelin, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry\u2019s European cooperation department, made his remarks during an expert discussion NATO\u2019s Future and Russia\u2019s Interests on the platform of the discussion club Valdai.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will have to create a defense belt near Sochi,\u201d said Kelin.\u00a0\u201cWe will have to spend colossal resources on preventing likely actions by a hypothetical enemy, this is inevitable.\u201d Kelin also cautioned Ukraine against joining NATO saying that action\u00a0would have equally serious military and economic repercussions for his country.\u00a0\u201cThe length of our common border is enormous.\u00a0 It is utterly unequipped, so we will have to build defense lines there and to shift the emphasis of our defense structures towards the south.\u201d Kelin did concede, however, that it was unlikely either nation would join NATO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut if our western partners proceed along the road of building up confrontation, this may happen, of course, and we will have to make fundamental preparations,\u201d Kelin added.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026click on the above link to read the rest of the article\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WW3: Russia Vows It \u2018WILL ACT\u2019 If Ukraine Or Georgia Join NATO Russia has vowed that they \u201cwill act\u201d should Ukraine or Georgia join NATO.\u00a0Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu voiced his concern over what he described as the \u201cmilitarization of the European continent,\u201d by promising action instead of empty rhetoric.
