This article Series is about \u201chow to appreciate chickens as more than just egg-layers and garden-scratchers.\u201d You\u2019ll find out the importance of this, as you read the following section.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WE NEED A BETTER APPRECIATION OF OUR CONNECTEDNESS TO ALL OF LIFE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been reading some of Charles Eisenstein\u2019s writings. In his books and articles, Eisenstein points out that regardless of how hard we work in a piecemeal way or on a superficial level to address the social and ecological challenges we face, collectively we are still missing a fundamental piece of the puzzle.
