hit somewhere near the border between North and South Carolina as coastal residents flee\u00a0what may be the most powerful hurricane to hit the state in 64 years, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-09-10\/florence-to-become-major-hurricane-as-it-menaces-u-s-east-coast?srnd=premium\"><em>Bloomberg<\/em><\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/footer>\n<div class=\"node__content\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/noaa%20hurr.jpg?itok=9dJZnNlm\" data-image-external-href=\"\" or over the coast for as many as four days, <strong>dumping prodigious amounts of rain<\/strong>,&#8221;\u00a0said meteorologist Jeff Masters of Weather Underground, who added &#8220;If a significant portion of the storm\u2019s circulation remains over water, as occurred last year with Hurricane Harvey\u2019s stall over Southeast Texas \u2014 or even if Florence were to move into the higher terrain of western North Carolina and then stall \u2014 <strong>the rain may break all-time state records for rainfall from a hurricane or tropical storm.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<article
