A League of Leagues of Their Own in Europe<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no crying in baseball!\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u2014 A League of Their Own<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Great Realignment is coming to Europe next year.\u00a0 All the writing is on the wall.<\/p>\n

This summer saw German Chancellor Angela Merkel survive a leadership challenge by her coalition partner Horst Seehofer over her immigration policy.<\/p>\n

She needs political wins to maintain her hold on power.\u00a0 Standing firm against President Trump on the Nordstream 2 pipeline and having a cordial summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin is a good start.<\/p>\n

Because most of Europe is tired of 1) Germany setting policy for the entire EU and 2) anti-Russian sanctions killing their trade.<\/p>\n

But week-long protests in the Saxony town of Chemnitz over the stabbing of a local man are dogging her.\u00a0 Germany\u2019s polling numbers continue ebbing away from Merkel.<\/p>\n

The more she is weakened the more emboldened her opposition becomes.<\/strong><\/em><\/u><\/p>\n

Cue Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini and Hungarian President Viktor Orban. They met to openly strategize over ending open migration into the EU.\u00a0 On the surface Italy and Hungary seem at odds on this issue.<\/p>\n

Italy wants its borders closed and its migrants distributed throughout Europe.<\/p>\n

Hungary steadfastly refuses to take even one migrant.<\/p>\n

This dichotomy is what the European media and politicians think will keep these two rising titans in conflict.<\/p>\n

But, as\u00a0Mike Shedlock pointed out recently at Townhall.com<\/a>, these two men have bigger goals which they are in total agreement on \u2014 securing their borders to preserve their cultural and national identities.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why Salvini is calling for \u201cA League of Leagues\u201d across Europe.\u00a0 He will succeed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the guy who successfully rebranded the secessionist Northern League into the MIGA party\u00a0\u2013 Make Italy Great Again.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

Then he and Five Star Movement leader Luigi Di Maio navigated the Italian Swamp to form a government experts said couldn\u2019t work, while simultaneously neutering establishment stalking horse Silvio Berlusconi.<\/p>\n
