Experiments were conducted in a controlled environment at the Guardian Centers training facility in Perry, Georgia, and aerial tests showed the quadcopters were able to navigate in urban settings as well as indoors autonomously.<em>\u00a0Some of the autonomous flight scenarios included:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Flying at increased speeds between multi-story buildings and through tight alleyways while identifying objects of interest;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Flying through a narrow window into a building and down\u00a0<\/em>a hallway searching rooms<em>\u00a0and creating a 3-D map of the interior; and<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Identifying and flying down a flight of stairs and exiting the building through an open doorway.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026click on the above link to read the rest of the article\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did DARPA Just Develop Autonomous Drones To Hunt Humans?
