The upward surge has stalled for the last two months. US production was down 30,000 bpd in May.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20079\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Texas.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 874px) 100vw, 874px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Texas.png 874w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Texas-300x160.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Texas-768x409.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"874\" height=\"466\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is a little astonishing how close the Texas chart resembles the USA chart. Texas is, by far, the USA\u2019s largest producer. As Texas goes, so goes the USA. Texas production was up 20,000 bpd<strong> in May.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20080\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/North-Dakota.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 874px) 100vw, 874px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/North-Dakota.png 874w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/North-Dakota-300x160.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/North-Dakota-768x409.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"874\" height=\"466\" \/><\/p>\n<p>North Dakota production has increased significantly in the last two months. They were up 67,000 bpd in April and up another 25,000 bpd in May.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20081\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Gulf-of-Mexico.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 874px) 100vw, 874px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Gulf-of-Mexico.png 874w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Gulf-of-Mexico-300x159.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Gulf-of-Mexico-768x408.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"874\" height=\"464\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gulf of Mexico production was down 99,000 bpd in April and down another 75,000 bpd in May.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20082\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Alaska.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 876px) 100vw, 876px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Alaska.png 876w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Alaska-300x159.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Alaska-768x407.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"876\" height=\"464\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Alaska was down only 1,000 bpd in may but that was 12,000 bpd lower than last may. They are now entering the maintenance season. Expect huge drops in June and July.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20083\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Canada-NEB.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 818px) 100vw, 818px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Canada-NEB.png 818w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Canada-NEB-300x170.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Canada-NEB-768x436.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"818\" height=\"464\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The EIA data in this chart is through April and the National Energy Board data is &lt;b&gt;estimated&lt;\/b&gt; through December 2018. The EIA data is usually lower than the NEB data but they both agree on April production.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20084\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/World.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 862px) 100vw, 862px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/World.png 862w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/World-300x158.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/World-768x404.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"862\" height=\"453\" \/><\/p>\n<p>World crude oil production was up 326,000 bpd in &lt;b&gt;April.&lt;\/b&gt;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20085\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Non-OPEC.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 821px) 100vw, 821px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Non-OPEC.png 821w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Non-OPEC-300x163.png 300w, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Non-OPEC-768x418.png 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"821\" height=\"447\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Non-OPEC production reached a new peak in April, up 405,000 bpd to 47,159,000 bpd.
