As the June 22 meeting is drawing closer, oil prices will likely react to any new hint, comment, or report about OPEC\u2019s efforts to \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.opec.org\/opec_web\/en\/press_room\/4993.htm\">address<\/a> consumer anxiety over security of oil supplies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The latest of those reports says that OPEC and non-OPEC are set to <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.reuters.com\/article\/uk-oil-opec-saudi\/opec-non-opec-sticking-to-oil-pact-but-may-raise-output-if-needed-gulf-source-idUKKCN1IV1YN?rpc=401&amp;\">stick to the production cuts<\/a> through the end of 2018, but will be ready to \u201cadjust\u201d supply to address possible shortages.<\/p>\n<p>The group of producers part of the pact \u201cis not ready yet to fully lift controls,\u201d a Gulf source familiar with the Saudi thinking has told Reuters, adding that \u201cit is going to be a long-term cooperation for the sake of a stable oil market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, if any shortage takes place, the producers will coordinate closely and promptly take necessary actions. The OPEC and non-OPEC agreement will remain in place.
