Russia Really Is America\u2019s No. 1 Enemy \u2013 Depending on Who \u2018America\u2019 Is<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

US-Russia enmity is here to stay. Cold War II is a fact of life for the foreseeable future. The only questions are\u00a0where, when, and how it might turn hot<\/a>.\u00a0That didn\u2019t happen in Syria this past Friday the Thirteenth<\/a>, for reasons yet to be explained. But the danger is by no means gone.<\/p>\n

Rather, the threat of a major war will continue to intensify as President Donald Trump continues to stack his team with GOP retards who diametrically oppose his oft-repeated desire to improve ties with Moscow. Whether or not his desire is genuine is irrelevant. With each new appointment to the\u00a0National Security Council<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0State Department<\/a>\u00a0the Russophobic critical mass grows.<\/p>\n

Personnel is policy. The door to rapprochement is being nailed ever more firmly shut<\/p>\n

\u201cFISAgate\u201d and the Christopher Steele \u201cdirty dossier,\u201d on top of bogus claims of Russian election meddling, have\u00a0done their job<\/a>. It would be remiss not to mention the\u00a0major role played by British special services<\/a>. The dossier itself, authored by a \u201cretired\u201d MI6 agent. The British diplomat (or another spook?) who passed it on to a top GOP Trump critic, and\u00a0thence to then-FBI Director James Comey<\/a>. The likelihood that\u00a0GCHQ spied on Trump and his team<\/a>. The\u00a0Salisbury chemical provocation<\/a>.\u00a0The Douma chemical provocation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Never forget that however culpable the likes of Comey,\u00a0James Clapper<\/a>,\u00a0John Brennan<\/a>, and others are, they had a lot of help from their \u201cFive Eyes<\/a>\u201d pals abroad. There was foreign interference, alright, in what we still quaintly call \u201cour democracy.\u201d But it was British, not Russian.<\/p>\n

The fact that the\u00a0House Intelligence Committee wrapped up its investigation<\/a>\u00a0having found no evidence of Russian collusion makes no difference. Neither does the fact that Robert Mueller\u2019s probe won\u2019t turn up any evidence either, since it doesn\u2019t exist.<\/p>\n
