solved in its globalist way via immigration and government-dependence &#8211; <strong><em>there is another &#8216;ageing&#8217; problem that is potentially even more catastrophic&#8230; <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A total of 450 nuclear reactors are producing around 11 percent of the total electricity output worldwide.<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaea.org\/PRIS\/CountryStatistics\/CountryDetails.aspx?current=US\">According to the International Atomic Energy Agency<\/a>\u00a0(IAEA), the United States is currently running 99 reactors, making it the country with the most units online, followed by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaea.org\/PRIS\/CountryStatistics\/CountryDetails.aspx?current=FR\">France with 58 units<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/13656\/number-of-nuclear-reactors-by-age\/\">But, as Statista&#8217;s Dyfed Loesche shows <\/a>in the infographic below, <strong>a lot of the currently still running reactors were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/13656\/number-of-nuclear-reactors-by-age\/\">connected to the grid in the 1980s<\/a>, now 29 to 38 years old.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Infographic: Ageing Reactors | Statista\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/13656\/number-of-nuclear-reactors-by-age\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/infographic.statista.com\/normal\/chartoftheday_13656_number_of_nuclear_reactors_by_age_n.jpg\" alt=\"Infographic: Ageing Reactors | Statista\" width=\"499\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>You will find more infographics at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chartoftheday\/\">Statista<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaea.org\/PRIS\/CountryStatistics\/CountryDetails.aspx?current=DE\">In Germany<\/a>, where the government decided to shut down all nuclear plants by the end of 2022,<\/strong> all of the 7 still running reactors were built in the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The oldest reactors worldwide went online some 49 years ago.<\/strong> One of them is the reactor 1 at Beznau power plant in Switzerland which has been delivering electricity since July 1969.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Visualizing The World&#8217;s Other &#8216;Aging&#8217;
