The Neocons\u2019 Real Plan for Syria Emerges from the Lack of\u00a0Rubble<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

I told you over the weekend that Trump\u2019s presidency was over<\/a>.\u00a0 As a practical matter it is.\u00a0 His yielding to his \u2018advisors\u2019 on every foreign policy issue makes it clear that he can\u2019t or won\u2019t stand up to the relentless pressure to do what his instincts tell him.<\/p>\n

This morning\u2019s article at the Deep State\u00a0<\/del>Washington Post <\/a>paints a very clear picture of what the situation is.\u00a0 The advisors whose loyalties are dubious run the show.\u00a0 Their thinking has not evolved one whit from previous administrations.<\/p>\n

Remember what Russian President Vladimir Putin always says, \u201cPresidents change. Policies do not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Case in point they manipulated Trump into over-reacting to the Skripal poisoning by ousting 60 Russian diplomats, even though Trump clearly wanted to match Germany and France.<\/p>\n

The United States, they explained, would be ousting roughly the same number of Russians as its European allies \u2014 part of a coordinated move to punish Moscow for\u00a0the poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter<\/a>\u00a0on British soil.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll match their numbers,\u201d Trump instructed, according to a senior administration official. \u201cWe\u2019re not taking the lead. We\u2019re matching.\u201d<\/p>\n

The next day, when the expulsions were announced publicly, Trump erupted, officials said. To his shock and dismay, France and Germany were each expelling only four Russian officials \u2014 far fewer than\u00a0the 60 his administration had decided on<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You can almost see the evil glee on the part of the WaPo writer and Trump\u2019s staffers who misled him into signing an order they knew he disagreed with.<\/p>\n

And this is why Trump is not president currently.\u00a0 This is not the first time he\u2019s been backed into a bad decision by the nest of vipers in his administration.<\/p>\n

And he won\u2019t be until he removes the worst people from his cabinet.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the trend on that front is definitely not our friend.<\/p>\n
