America’s State Wreck Gathers Steam: The Donald’s War Cabinet And The Fiscal Doom Loop, Part 2<\/a><\/h3>\n

Last week the\u00a0Donald’s incipient trade war got\u00a0Wall Street’s nerves jangling, but that wasn’t the half of what’s coming.<\/p>\n

To wit,\u00a0Trump has now essentially formed a War Cabinet and signed\u00a0a Horribus spending bill that is a\u00a0warrant for fiscal meltdown.\u00a0Indeed,\u00a0the two essentially comprise\u00a0a self-fueling doom loop which means Washington\u2019s descent into\u00a0fiscal catastrophe is well-nigh unstoppable; it\u2019s all over except for the screaming in the bond pits.<\/p>\n

That is, Trump’s new\u00a0War Cabinet of John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Gina Haspel and Mad Dog Mattis is arguably the most interventionist, militarist, confrontationist\u00a0and bellicose national security team ever\u00a0assembled by a sitting President. We\u00a0cannot think of a single country that has even looked cross-eyed at Washington in recent years where one or all four\u00a0of them has not threatened to drone,\u00a0bomb, invade or decapitate its current ruling regime.<\/p>\n

That means Imperial Washington’s rampant War Fever owing to the Dem-left declaration of war on Russia and Putin is now about to be drastically intensified by the complete victory of the neocon-right in the Trump Administration. The result will be sharpened confrontation, if not actual outbreak of hostilities,\u00a0across the full spectrum of adversaries—Iran, Russia, China, Syria and North Korea—-and an escalating tempo of military operations and procurement to implement the policy.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Donald’s pathetic Fake Veto maneuver on Friday cemented the special interest lobbies’\u00a0absolute control over domestic appropriations. Of course, Chuckles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi crowed loudly about the $63 billion<\/em><\/strong> annual domestic spending\u00a0increase they got\u00a0in return for\u00a0the Donald’s $80 billion<\/em><\/strong> defense add-on,\u00a0but the victory was not partisan;\u00a0it belonged to the Swamp creatures who suckle the politicians of both parties and\u00a0own the appropriations committees lock, stock and barrel.<\/p>\n
