This will allow for a ridge of high pressure to amplify in the eastern US, bringing unseasonably warm conditions next week<\/em>,\u201d said\u00a0Ed Vallee, Long-Range Meteorologist and\u00a0President of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EdValleeWx\">Vallee Wx Consulting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Screen-Shot-2018-02-16-at-1.33.06-PM-1024x672.png?itok=t3-vK7Fs\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/news\/news\/2018-02-14-polar-vortex-split-february-2018\">Weather Channel<\/a> describes the atmosphetic impact for the\u00a0Northern Hemisphere, as this unique weather event splits the\u00a0polar vortex into two smaller\u00a0vortices:\u00a0one over western Canada and another over Europe.<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"StoryHighlights-Ee0lEKey__storyHighlights__2aTa9\">\u00a0<em><strong>A split of the polar vortex occurred this week due to warming in the stratosphere<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"StoryHighlights-Ee0lEKey__storyHighlights__2aTa9\"><em><strong>This is likely to result in cold temperatures in Europe<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"StoryHighlights-Ee0lEKey__storyHighlights__2aTa9\"><em><strong>Although a disruption of the polar vortex is sometimes associated with cold weather in the eastern U.S., that is not always guaranteed<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further, from the Weather Channel:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Across the Arctic, where the polar vortex typically stays locked, the stratosphere has warmed. This typically kicks into motion a polar vortex disruption like we are seeing.
