Today\u2019s professional police forces \u2014 where officers in even one-stoplight towns might have body armor and mine-resistant vehicles \u2014 already raise concerns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 10px 0px;\">Yet new data-mining technologies can now provide police with vast amounts of surveillance information and could radically increase police power.
