{"id":28680,"date":"2017-12-09T09:03:33","date_gmt":"2017-12-09T14:03:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=28680"},"modified":"2017-12-09T09:03:33","modified_gmt":"2017-12-09T14:03:33","slug":"rising-sea-levels-in-the-indian-ocean-due-to-man-made-adjustments-not-co2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=28680","title":{"rendered":"Rising sea-levels in the Indian Ocean due to man-made \u201cadjustments\u201d not CO2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-headline\">\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/joannenova.com.au\/2017\/12\/rising-sea-levels-in-the-indian-ocean-due-to-man-made-adjustments-not-co2\/\">Rising sea-levels in the Indian Ocean due to man-made \u201cadjustments\u201d not CO2<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-bodycopy clearfix\">\n<p>PMSML stands for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psmsl.org\/\">Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level<\/a>, though there is nothing permanent about sea-level data \u2014 like all obedient climate change data, it\u2019s subject to change fifty years later \u2013<a href=\"http:\/\/joannenova.com.au\/2015\/05\/the-scandal-of-sea-levels-rising-trends-acceleration-largely-created-by-adjustments\/\"> and the adjustments are as large as the trends<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve seen this pattern in so many places. Now Cliff Ollier and Albert Parker have shown it in the Indian Ocean looking at Aden in Yemen, and Mumbai in India (and other places, and other data).\u00a0Kenneth Richard at\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/notrickszone.com\/2017\/12\/04\/whistleblower-scientists-psmsl-data-adjusters-are-manufacturing-sea-level-rise-where-none-exists\/#sthash.36S66JGp.6D8uhEYK.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">No Tricks Zone<\/a><\/em>goes through it at length. J<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-government\/2017\/12\/06\/tidalgate-climate-alarmists-caught-faking-sea-level-rise\/\">ames Delingpole calls it TideGate<\/a>. <em>The New York Times <\/em>says nothing (just like last time).<\/p>\n<p>Parker and Ollier conclude that at Mumbai, apparently the sea levels were \u201cperfectly stable over the 20th century\u201d. At Aden, sea levels trends are rising at a pitifully small quarter of a millimeter a year during the twentieth century. (And that\u2019s their upper estimate). The lower estimate is minus five hundreths of a millimeter a year.\u00a0 Looking at other sites as well they estimate a rise of \u2026\u201dabout zero mm\/year\u201d in the last five decades. <em>zero<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This, they say, agrees with other things like\u2026 coastal morphology, stratigraphy, radiocarbon dating, archaeological remains, and historical documentation. (But not so much with climate models). There is a breakpoint change in 1936 with a 677mm drop. But the red series ends in December, and the green series starts the following month in January.
