{"id":26625,"date":"2017-10-09T09:58:30","date_gmt":"2017-10-09T14:58:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=26625"},"modified":"2017-10-09T09:58:30","modified_gmt":"2017-10-09T14:58:30","slug":"us-public-dont-care-if-newsmedia-lie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=26625","title":{"rendered":"US Public Don\u2019t Care if \u2018News\u2019media Lie"},"content":{"rendered":"<header><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" title=\"US Public Don\u2019t Care if \u2018News\u2019media Lie\" src=\"https:\/\/www.strategic-culture.org\/images\/news\/2017\/10\/08\/or-39736.jpg\" alt=\"US Public Don\u2019t Care if \u2018News\u2019media Lie\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strategic-culture.org\/news\/2017\/10\/08\/us-public-dont-care-if-newsmedia-lie.html\">US Public Don\u2019t Care if \u2018News\u2019media Lie<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/header>\n<p>To say that the US public don\u2019t care if \u2018news\u2019media lie, is shocking, but I shall here present evidence that it actually is true \u2014 not in some mere theory, but in empirical fact.<\/p>\n<p>A typical example of Americans not caring about the truthfulness, nor even about the honesty, of their sources of alleged \u2018news\u2019, is that, during the period of October 3rd through the 5<sup>th<\/sup>, there were two news-reports both of which were true, but which, when taken together, display\u00a0<strong>the total disconnect<\/strong>\u00a0between newsmedia-honesty, on the one hand, and the confidence that the American people have in the nation&#8217;s \u2018news\u2019media, on the other.<\/p>\n<p>One of these two news-reports was published on October 5<sup>th<\/sup> by the anonymous blogger who has come to be, amongst readers who closely follow and investigate the war in Syria, the most-trusted source of reporting on it, and the article was headlined,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.moonofalabama.org\/2017\/10\/syria-russia-issues-third-warning-against-us-cooperation-with-terrorists.html#more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.moonofalabama.org\/2017\/10\/syria-russia-issues-third-warning-against-us-cooperation-with-terrorists.html#more\">&#8220;Russia Issues Third Warning Against US Cooperation With Terrorists\u201d<\/a>, and it provided links to each of the three recent instances in which the US Government was cooperating with ISIS to defeat Syria and its defender Russia, in Syria. It summarily described the ways in which the US had been exposed (but not by US \u2018news\u2019media) as having been providing vital intelligence and other crucial assistance to ISIS, in ISIS\u2019s efforts to overthrow and replace the existing Syrian Government (headed by Bashar al-Assad). That report should be read by anyone who proceeds further here, because it covers events that were certainly of top international importance and that might even precipitate war between the US and Russia, but which were reported little if at all in US \u2019news\u2019media.
