They are convinced that they have earned their high status, in one way or another, and they compete ferociously amongst themselves, to rise even higher within the aristocracy.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the aristocrats think that they are \u2018elite\u2019 because they are the richest; many think instead that the \u2018elite\u2019 are the smartest or the most cunning; and, a third group think that the \u2018elite\u2019 are the \u00abwell-born\u00bb who descended from \u2019superior\u2019 people \u2014 they believe in an inherited elitist version of Hitler\u2019s generic racist vision, of the \u2018Aryans\u2019 versus the \u2018non-Aryans\u2019. Instead of being such racists, however, this third category are simply classists, who define their aristocratic rights as being inherited from their ancestors \u2014 so, they\u2019re similar to racists, insofar as they are obsessed with genealogy (like racists are), but their obsession is focused instead upon their own family, not upon any \u00abrace\u00bb at all. They \u2018come from the right family\u2019, not from \u2018the right race\u2019. This third type of aristocrat believe in\u00a0<em>inherited<\/em>\u00a0rights and obligations.
