While the video below is entertaining, it does lay out the key differences between Keynesian and Austrian economic theories.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d0nERTFo-Sk\" width=\"750\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Just last week, the Federal Reserve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalreserve.gov\/monetarypolicy\/files\/20170707_mprfullreport.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released a report<\/a>\u00a0which forms the basis of the semi-annual testimony Ms. Yellen will give to Congress this week. There was much in this report which suggests the models the Federal Reserve continues to use are at best flawed and, at worst, broken.<\/p>\n<p>For decades, ivory tower economists have\u00a0heaped high praise on Keynesian policies as they have encouraged Governments to drive deeper into debt with the expectation of reviving economic growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The problem is \u2013 it hasn\u2019t worked.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s proof. Following the financial crisis, the Government and the Federal Reserve decided it was prudent to inject more than <a href=\"https:\/\/realinvestmentadvice.com\/markets-go-on-alert-04-14-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$33 Trillion in debt-laden injections<\/a> into the economy believing such would stimulate an economic resurgence.
