The media went hysterical, saying the good judge was filled with UFO styled conspiracy theories.<\/p>\n<p>Here was his claim.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"fitvid413229\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8fxcVr3KPog?feature=oembed\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>A spokesman for the GCHQ at the time called the claims \u2018nonsense\u2019, proclaiming \u201cThey are utterly ridiculous and should be ignored.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lo and behold, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2017\/apr\/13\/british-spies-first-to-spot-trump-team-links-russia\" target=\"_blank\">the Guardian<\/a> is out with an exclusive tonight \u2014 rebuking the GCHQ denial \u2014 confirming that Obama had received information from the British spy agency, possibly to avoid being detected by people investigating FISA warrants. <strong>In addition to Britain\u2019s GCHQ, Mi6 was also involved<\/strong>, and 4 other nations \u2014 \u00a0as part of the intelligence gathering apparatus called SIGINT \u2014 who then ferried their findings to Obama. <strong>The spying nations were Germany, Estonia, Poland and Australia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another guardian source said both France and the Netherlands were possible contributors to the Trump spying ring too.<\/p>\n<p>CNN reporting:<\/p>\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"fitvid830230\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CDuNw-dsLVw?feature=oembed\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The GCHQ became aware of \u00a0\u2018suspicious interactions\u2019 in late 2015.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Over the next six months, until summer 2016, <strong>a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump\u2019s inner circle and Russians, sources said<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood that GCHQ was at no point carrying out a targeted operation against Trump or his team or proactively seeking information. <strong>The alleged conversations were picked up by chance as part of routine surveillance of Russian intelligence assets.
