16 Year Congressman: CIA Leak Shows We\u2019re \u201cSliding Down the Slippery Slope Toward Totalitarianism, Where Private Lives Do Not Exist\u201d<\/a><\/h3>\n

That the CIA has reached into the lives of all Americans through its wholesale gathering of the nation\u2019s \u201chaystack\u201d of information has already been reported.<\/p>\n

It is bad enough that the government spies on its own people. It is equally bad that the CIA, through its incompetence, has opened the cyberdoor to anyone with the technological skills and connections to spy on anyone else.<\/p>\n

The constant erosion of privacy at the hands of the government and corporations has annihilated the concept of a \u201cright to privacy,\u201d which is embedded in the rationale of the First, Third, Fourth, Ninth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.<\/p>\n

It is becoming increasingly clear that we are sliding down the slippery slope toward totalitarianism, where private lives do not exist.<\/p>\n

We have entered a condition of constitutional crisis that requires a full-throated response from the American people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Before you label Kucinich as being overly-dramatic, you may want to note that\u00a0 Bill Binney \u2013 the high-level NSA executive who\u00a0created<\/em>\u00a0the agency\u2019s mass surveillance program for digital information, the 36-year NSA veteran widely who was the senior technical director within the agency and managed thousands of NSA employees \u2013\u00a0told Washington\u2019s Blog<\/a>\u00a0that America has\u00a0already<\/em>\u00a0become a police state.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

And Thomas Drake \u2013 one of the top NSA executives, and Senior Change Leader within the NSA \u2013\u00a0told us<\/a>\u00a0the same thing.<\/p>\n

And Kirk Wiebe \u2013 a 32-year NSA veteran who received the Director CIA\u2019s Meritorious Unit Award and the NSA\u2019s Meritorious Civilian Service Award \u2013 agrees (tweet via Jesselyn Radack, attorney for many national security whistleblowers, herself a\u00a0Department of Justice whistleblower):<\/p>\n
