They will make the correction next month.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13499\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-BPD-per-well.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 854px) 100vw, 854px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-BPD-per-well.jpg 854x, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-BPD-per-well-300x168.jpg 300x, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-BPD-per-well-768x431.jpg 768x\" alt=\"bakken-bpd-per-well\" width=\"854\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Barrels per day per well held steady in July, 91 for the Bakken and 79 for all North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13500\" src=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-Monthly-Change.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 876px) 100vw, 876px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-Monthly-Change.jpg 876x, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-Monthly-Change-300x163.jpg 300x, http:\/\/peakoilbarrel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bakken-Monthly-Change-768x418.jpg 768x\" alt=\"bakken-monthly-change\" width=\"876\" height=\"477\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trend is down in spite of the slight increase in July.<\/p>\n<p>From the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmr.nd.gov\/oilgas\/directorscut\/directorscut-2016-09-16.pdf\">Director\u2019s Cut<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Oil Production<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>June 30,813,924 barrels = 1,027,131 barrels\/day<\/em><br \/>\n<em>July 31,914,711 barrels = 1,029,507 barrels\/day (preliminary)(all\u00a0time high was Dec\u00a02014 at 1,227,483 barrels\/day)<\/em><br \/>\n<em>977,342 barrels per day or 95% from Bakken and Three Forks<\/em><br \/>\n<em>52,165 barrels per day or\u00a05% from legacy conventional pools<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Producing Wells<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>June 13,248<\/em><br \/>\n<em>July 13,255 (preliminary)(all\u00a0time high)\u00a011,168 wells or 84% are now unconventional Bakken\u00a0Three forks wells\u00a02,087 wells or 16% produce from legacy conventional pools<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Permitting<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>June 65 drilling and 0 seismic<\/em><br \/>\n<em>July\u00a086 drilling and 0 seismic<\/em><br \/>\n<em>August\u00a099 drilling and 1 seismic (all time high was 370 in 10\/2012)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ND Sweet Crude Price<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>June $38.75\/barrel<\/em><br \/>\n<em>July $35.57\/barrel<\/em><br \/>\n<em>August $33.73\/barrel<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Today $32.00\/barrel (all\u00a0time high was $136.29 7\/3\/2008)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Rig Count<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>June\u00a028<\/em><br \/>\n<em>July\u00a031<\/em><br \/>\n<em>August\u00a032<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Today\u2019s rig count is 33 (all\u00a0time high was 218 on 5\/29\/2012)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Comments:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The drilling rig count increased three from June to July, then increased one from July to August, and increased one more from August to today. Operators remain committed to running the minimum number of rigs while oil prices remain below $60\/barrel WTI. The number of well completions dropped from 45(final) in June to 41(preliminary) in July. Oil price weakness is the primary reason for the slow down and is now anticipated to last into at least the fourth quarter of this year and perhaps into the second quarter of 2017.
