The level of mutual trust in Sino-Russian relations has created grounds for comprehensive partnership and strategic collaboration between the two nations in technical, economic, and political spheres, Russia\u2019s President Vladimir Putin told Xinhua.<\/div>\n

Praising the unprecedented current level of trust between Beijing and Moscow, Putin said the phase of\u00a0\u201cstrategic cooperation\u201d<\/em>\u00a0doesn\u2019t fully describe the scale of partnership between the states.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo say we have strategic cooperation is not enough anymore\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Putin told Xinhua.\u00a0\u201cThis is why we have started talking about a comprehensive partnership and strategic collaboration. ‘Comprehensive’ means that we work virtually on all major avenues; ‘strategic’ means that we attach enormous inter\u2011governmental importance to this work.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Noting that Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping\u00a0\u201cdevotes much of his personal attention<\/em>\u201d to the development of Russia-China relations, Putin called his counterpart a\u00a0\u201cgood friend and a reliable partner.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The collaboration in international affairs between the two nations, Putin noted,\u00a0\u201ccontributes to the stability of world affairs,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0where Russian and Chinese views\u00a0\u201care either very similar or coincide.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis similarity or coincidence is backed by concrete work, including efforts on the technical level. We are in constant contact and we consult on global and regional issues. Since we consider each other close allies, naturally, we always listen to our partners and take into account each other\u2019s interests,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Putin said.<\/p>\n
