As you may imagine, the result was that Torcello was accused of all sorts of evil intents, including that of exterminating part or all of humankind.<\/p>\n<p>So\u00a0<span id=\"b811736a-fb5f-4c36-b3af-a72c1135630b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"5d0fb593-d15b-43de-8ef0-66b3b9ce490d\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"255dd8db-e225-4d63-b13c-5a0612d8bc3d\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">rabid<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0was the reaction to Torcello&#8217;s post, that it prompted me\u00a0<a style=\"text-decoration: none; color: #2288bb;\" href=\"http:\/\/thefrogthatjumpedout.blogspot.it\/2014\/03\/a-corollary-to-godwins-law-law-of.html\" target=\"_blank\">to propose<\/a>\u00a0a corollary to Godwin&#8217;s law; the one which poses that in any political Internet discussion, Hitler will always be mentioned, sooner or later. In my post, I proposed that in any discussion on ecological matters: at some moment the accusation of genocidal intentions will appear.<span id=\"e7c1d0fb-01ee-4131-9b27-6832773f1f84\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">Torcello&#8217;s<\/span>\u00a0post was a classic example of this law.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Torcello<a style=\"text-decoration: none; color: #2288bb;\" href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/laquila-earthquake-scientists-freed-but-political-lessons-remain-34506\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0published another post<\/a>\u00a0on this matter, reviewing the case of a group of Italian scientists who were sentenced to six years in prison with the accusation of spreading &#8220;inexact, incomplete and contradictory information\u201d regarding the chance of an earthquake in the region. Now, the group has been acquitted, but the problem remains.
