Certainly not the well-heeled denizens of the State Department\u2019s diplomatic corps. And they should know. That\u2019s because they\u2019re stationed on the frontlines of the ongoing battle to preserve Uncle Sam\u2019s dominant market share of the global weapons trade.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily for the Military-Industrial Complex, it turns out that \u201cMade in the USA\u201d inspires a lot of brand loyalty, even if\u00a0<em>actual<\/em>\u00a0loyalty is often a harder sell (paging\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/theantimedia.org\/us-and-saudi-arabia-hide-911-truth\/\"><u>Saudi Arabia<\/u><\/a>). (White House photo)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>As Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) determined in its\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sipri.org\/media\/pressreleases\/2016\/at-feb-2016\"><u>recent report<\/u><\/a>\u00a0on the global arms trade, the United States maintains a commanding \u201c33% share of total arms exports\u201d and is the world\u2019s top seller for five years running. And its customer base includes \u201cat least\u201d 96 countries, which is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.vice.com\/article\/the-us-is-selling-weapons-to-nearly-half-the-countries-in-the-world\"><u>nearly half of the world\u2019s nations<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A robust\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fox2now.com\/2016\/05\/24\/who-buys-the-most-weapons-from-the-u-s\/\"><u>40 percent of those exports<\/u><\/a>\u00a0end up in the Middle East.
