Back then, Japan\u2019s economy was growing so fast, it was thought they would overtake the US.\u00a0<strong><em>But that all came to a screeching halt.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Truth is, Japan\u2019s meteoric rise was fueled by an epic lending bubble. Similar to the Roaring 20s in America.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>And when the bubble popped, the government launched massive and misguided measures that set Japan back decades.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Their economy hasn\u2019t expanded since. They are stuck in the 1980s. There\u2019s been no growth for 30 years.
