Bernie Schmitte, wildfire manager at Alberta Agriculture and Forestry\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/edmonton\/wildfire-destroys-fort-mcmurray-homes-most-of-city-evacuated-1.3563977\">said<\/a>\u00a0that the fire made a &#8220;major run&#8221; during the night and reached the Athabasca River.
