Bamberger and Oswald\u2019s studies, carried out during the ongoing fracking boom, uncovered serious adverse effects including respiratory, reproductive, and growth-related problems in animals and a spectrum of symptoms in humans that they termed \u201cshale gas syndrome\u201d.
