Video of the Day \u2013 60 Minutes Explores the Saudi Links to 9\/11 Attacks<\/a><\/h3>\n

I\u2019ve been exploring\u00a0the obvious links between Saudi Arabia and the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 for several years now. This issue is\u00a0deeply\u00a0personal<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to me. Not only was I working across the street in 3 World Financial Center when the attacks happened, I saw the first tower come down in person as I was fleeing the scene on foot.<\/p>\n

The 9\/11 attacks have been used by the U.S. government to trample\u00a0upon our civil liberties and sell the surveillance state to the American public, yet all the while \u201cwe the people\u201d continue to be fed\u00a0a fantasy story of what really happened on that day.<\/p>\n

To provide a bit of\u00a0background on\u00a0some of what is discussed in the\u00a060 Minutes<\/em>\u00a0segment, let me turn your attention to excerpts from the 2013 post,\u00a0Two Congressmen Push for Release of 28-Page Document Showing Saudi Involvement in 9\/11<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Since terrorists attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, victims\u2019 loved ones, injured survivors, and members of the media have all tried without much success to discover the true\u00a0nature\u00a0of the relationship\u00a0between the 19 hijackers \u2013 15 of them Saudi nationals \u2013 and the Saudi Arabian government. Many news organizations reported that some of the terrorists were linked to the Saudi royals and that they even may have received financial support from them as well as from several mysterious, moneyed Saudi men living in San Diego.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly denied any connection, and\u00a0neither President George W. Bush nor President Obama has been forthcoming on this issue.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But earlier this year, Reps. Walter B. Jones, R-N.C., and Stephen Lynch, D-Mass., were given access to the 28 redacted pages of the Joint Intelligence Committee Inquiry (JICI) of 9\/11 issued in late 2002, which have been thought to hold some answers about the Saudi connection to the attack.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
