On average, these objects are many hundreds of meters across,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0said Amy Mainzer, NEOWISE\u2019s principal investigator.<\/p>\n<p>The NEOWISE\u2019s 16-inch (40-cm) telescope and infrared cameras snapped as many as 5.1 million shots over the past year. It has processed information on more than 19,000 asteroids and comets, including four new ones.
