Worldwide water shortage?\u00a0That certainly seems to be the\u00a0dominant narrative<\/a>. But\u00a0permaculture suggests otherwise<\/a>, that there is only a shortage of design understanding of how many times we can repurpose water: The longest path, the longest time, the most beneficial life connections and mechanical action,\u00a0all extend the potential of water<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Worth checking out:\u00a0For a A DIY chicken tractor, a \u201cChickShaw,\u201d or anything else related to chickens, you have to love what one of my students, Justin Rhodes,\u00a0is doing on his farm<\/a>\u00a0in North Carolina. Brilliant, funny, down-to-earth, and\u00a0a daily video<\/a>\u00a0from someone who is living the permaculture dream.<\/p>\n

Absolutely beautiful.\u00a0Brett Pritchard, a permaculturist since 1991, put together something that really caught my eye:\u00a0A 21 card set<\/a>\u00a0of the original permaculture ethics and principles. Many of the illustrations were painted by one of Bill Mollison\u2019s daughters, Frances, and the entire set is\u00a0free to download<\/a>.<\/p>\n

California, Saudi Arabia, and dairy?<\/a>\u00a0Again, water and \u201cCalifornia\u2019s crisis\u201d are the connection between this strange trio. But perhaps we\u2019ve defined the California water crisis\u00a0in a fundamentally incorrect way<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n
