Calgary-based Husky Energy says layoffs were announced\u00a0today\u00a0to ensure the company’s resilience during low oil prices.<\/p>\n

The company did\u00a0not provide\u00a0any specific numbers,\u00a0but says the staff reductions were across its operations.<\/p>\n

“These are difficult decisions and we will continue to take the steps necessary to ensure the company’s resilience through this cycle and beyond,” said company spokesperson\u00a0Mel Duvall in an\u00a0email.<\/p>\n
