went down when the first dot-com bubble burst?\u00a0 Well, it is happening again, and tech stocks are already down\u00a0<strong>more than half a trillion dollars<\/strong>\u00a0since the middle of 2015.\u00a0 On Friday, the tech-heavy Nasdaq dropped to its lowest level in more than 15 months, and it has now fallen more than 16 percent from the peak of the market.\u00a0 But of course some of the biggest names have fallen much more than that.\u00a0 Netflix is down 37 percent, Yahoo is down 39 percent, LinkedIn is down 60 percent, and Twitter is down more than 70 percent.\u00a0 If you go back through my previous articles, you will find that I specifically warned about Twitter\u00a0<a title=\"again\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/the-dow-and-sp-500-soar-to-irrational-heights-while-the-ultra-wealthy-rush-to-buy-gold-bars\">again<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"again\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/the-stock-market-has-officially-entered-crazytown-territory\">again<\/a>.\u00a0 Irrational financial bubbles like this always burst eventually, and many investors that got in at the very top are now losing extraordinary amounts of money.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, tech stocks got absolutely slammed as the bursting of dot-com bubble 2.0 accelerated once again.\u00a0 The following is how\u00a0<a title=\"CNBC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2016\/02\/05\/us-markets.html\" target=\"_blank\">CNBC<\/a>\u00a0summarized the carnage\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Nasdaq composite fell 3.25 percent, as\u00a0<a class=\"inline_quotes\" title=\"Apple\" href=\"http:\/\/data.cnbc.com\/quotes\/AAPL\" target=\"_blank\" data-gdsid=\"8016\" data-inline-quote-symbol=\"AAPL\">Apple<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a class=\"inline_quotes\" title=\"iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (IBB)\" href=\"http:\/\/data.cnbc.com\/quotes\/IBB\" target=\"_blank\" data-gdsid=\"151687\" data-inline-quote-symbol=\"IBB\">iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (IBB)<\/a>\u00a0dropped 2.67 percent and 3.19 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Also weighing on the index were\u00a0<a class=\"inline_quotes\" title=\"Amazon\" href=\"http:\/\/data.cnbc.com\/quotes\/AMZN\" target=\"_blank\" data-gdsid=\"9399\" data-inline-quote-symbol=\"AMZN\">Amazon<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"inline_quotes\" title=\"Facebook\" href=\"http:\/\/data.cnbc.com\/quotes\/FB\" target=\"_blank\" data-gdsid=\"139619\" data-inline-quote-symbol=\"FB\">Facebook<\/a>, which closed down 6.36 percent and 5.81 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"inline_quotes\" title=\"LinkedIn\" href=\"http:\/\/data.cnbc.com\/quotes\/LNKD\" target=\"_blank\" data-gdsid=\"140815\" data-inline-quote-symbol=\"LNKD\">LinkedIn<\/a>\u00a0shares also tanked 43.63 percent after posting weak guidance on their quarterly results.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Overall, LinkedIn is now down a total of\u00a0<a title=\"60 percent\" href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/tech\/columnist\/shinal\/2016\/02\/05\/bye-bye-internet-bubble-20\/79887644\/\" target=\"_blank\">60 percent<\/a>\u00a0from the peak of the market.\u00a0 But they are far from the only ones that have already seen their bubble burst.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the biggest names in the tech world have gotten mercilessly hammered over the past six months of so.\u00a0 Just look at some of the famous brands that have already lost\u00a0<a title=\"between 20 and 40 percent\" href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/tech\/columnist\/shinal\/2016\/02\/05\/bye-bye-internet-bubble-20\/79887644\/\" target=\"_blank\">between 20 and 40 percent<\/a>\u00a0of their market
