The party said it would not formally weigh in until the text of the agreement surfaces, and assigned a new deadline to release it: the end of February.<\/p>\n<p>The scramble to come up with a new data-sharing arrangement\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/theintercept.com\/2015\/10\/06\/top-european-court-rules-that-nsa-spying-makes-u-s-unsafe-for-data\/\">kicked off when<\/a>\u00a0the European Court of Justice (CJEU), the top court of the European Union, ruled on October 6 that the NSA\u2019s indiscriminate overseas surveillance interfered with the \u201cfundamental rights\u201d of its citizens, whose data it has the responsibility to protect.
