It can tell them when we&#8217;re home, what we&#8217;re saying, and about our health.<\/p>\n<p>And attacks on machines, like the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/technology\/hackers-kill-engine-of-moving-jeep-on-highway-in-security-demo-1.3162944\" target=\"_blank\">Jeep Cherokee<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0had its brakes and other controls remotely\u00a0disabled last summer, also shows that these connected devices can be a back door for hackers.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s largely happening because manufacturers push technology to what it&#8217;s capable of, says Wright, president of Security Perspectives Inc., says.
