This Is How Quickly Society Will Break Down: \u201cIf You Don\u2019t Have Food Yet I Feel Sorry For You\u201d<\/a><\/h3>\n

Record breaking winter snow storms\u2026 they might be extreme, but should they really be crippling cities across the country?<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Drudge Report<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is splashed with warnings to\u00a0\u201cshelter in place,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>while reporting that food is running out, and grocery stores shelves have been wiped out. The East Coast is on the brink.<\/p>\n

But should they be?<\/p>\n

Here is a live exercise reminder that the system can and will break down in an instant. The population is simply not ready for a major emergency.\u00a0Hopefully you are<\/strong><\/a>; but they just aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n

This is just a blizzard \u2013 it may be a worst-in-history snow storm driven by media frenzy\u2013 but it IS expected to pass through after a day or two. Aside from\u00a0a few power outages<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and street repairs, things will hopefully be back to normal. It\u00a0could get worse<\/strong><\/a>, but that remains to be seen.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, if these pictures of store shelves are any evidence, society is not equipped for even the most basic crisis:<\/p>\n
