As a drearily soulless,\u00a0principle-free, power-hungry veteran of DC\u2019s game of thrones, she\u2019s about as banal of an American politician as it gets. One of the few unique aspects to her, perhaps the only one, is how\u00a0the genuinely inspiring gender milestone of her election will (following the Obama model) be exploited to obscure her primary role as guardian of the status quo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 28px 0px;\">That she\u2019s the beneficiary of dynastic succession \u2013 who may very well be pitted\u00a0against\u00a0the next\u00a0heir in line from\u00a0the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #df3f3d; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;\" href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/lozlvsb\">regal Bush dynasty<\/a>\u00a0(<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #df3f3d; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/thetwo-way\/2014\/11\/10\/362862271\/will-jeb-bush-run-for-president-his-brother-says-maybe\">this one<\/a>, not yet\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #df3f3d; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2014\/03\/george-p-bush-texas-land-commissioner-2014-elections-104260.html\">this one<\/a>)\u00a0&#8211; makes it all the more tempting to regard #HillaryTime with an evenly distributed mix of boredom and contempt. The\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #df3f3d; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/how-the-clintons-went-from-dead-broke-to-rich-bill-earned-1049-million-for-speeches\/2014\/06\/26\/8fa0b372-fd3a-11e3-8176-f2c941cf35f1_story.html\">tens of millions of dollars<\/a>\u00a0the Clintons have\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #df3f3d; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2014\/05\/hillary-clinton-goldman-sachs-private-equity-white-house-2016\">jointly \u201cearned\u201d off their political celebrity<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0much of it speaking to the very globalists, industry groups, hedge funds, and other Wall Street appendages who would have among the largest stake in her presidency\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0make the spectacle\u00a0that\u00a0much\u00a0more depressing (the likely candidate is pictured above with Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein at an event in September).<\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 28px 0px;\">But one shouldn\u2019t be so jaded. There is genuine and intense excitement over the prospect of (another) Clinton presidency. Many significant American factions regard her elevation to the Oval Office as an opportunity for rejuvenation, as a stirring symbol of hope and change, as the vehicle for vital policy advances.
