Turkish Shootdown of Russian Jet: What You Need to Know<\/a><\/h3>\n
A U.S. official\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0Reuters that the Russian jet was\u00a0inside<\/em>\u00a0of Syria<\/em>\u00a0when it was shot down:<\/div>\n

The United States believes that the Russian jet shot down by Turkey on Tuesday was hit inside Syrian airspace after a brief incursion into Turkish airspace, a U.S. official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Russia\u00a0denies<\/a>\u00a0that the Russian fighter jet \u2013 which was bombing ISIS \u2013 ever entered Turkish air space, and has put out its\u00a0own map<\/a>\u00a0purporting to prove that claim.<\/p>\n

The Russian jet pilots who parachutted free of their burning plane were then purportedly\u00a0killed by Turkish rebels<\/a>\u00a0inside Syria.\u00a0 If true, this is a war crime.<\/p>\n

Then \u2013 when a Russian helicopter tried to save the pilots \u2013\u00a0it<\/em>\u00a0was shot down by\u00a0American-backed Syrian rebels<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 using weapons provided to them\u00a0by the United States\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 and a Russian marine\u00a0was killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Russia is\u00a0deploying a warship off the Syrian coast to \u201cdestroy any threats<\/a>\u00a0to Russian planes\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Many believe<\/a>\u00a0this is the\u00a0start of World War III.<\/a><\/p>\n

While the U.S. and NATO tried to blame Russia, German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel\u00a0slammed<\/a>Turkey:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis incident shows for the first time that we are to dealing with an actor who is unpredictable according to statements from various parts of the region \u2013 that is not Russia, that is Turkey,\u201d Gabriel said, as cited by DPA news agency. He added that Turkey was playing \u201ca complicated role\u201d in the Syrian conflict.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/span>Indeed, NATO-member Turkey is\u00a0MASSIVELY supporting ISIS<\/a>,\u00a0provided chemical weapons<\/a>\u00a0used in the jihadi\u2019s massacre of civilians, and has been bombing\u00a0ISIS\u2019 main on-the-ground enemy \u2013 Kurdish soldiers \u2013 using its air force<\/a>.\u00a0 And some of the Turkish people are also\u00a0unsympathetic to the victims<\/a>\u00a0of ISIS terrorism.Turkey was also instrumental in the creation of ISIS.<\/p>\n
