Federal Opposition MP Linda Duncan recently introduced &#8220;<a style=\"color: #26797f; text-decoration: none; border-bottom-width: 1px !important; border-bottom-style: dotted !important; border-bottom-color: #9e9e9e !important; margin-bottom: 4px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.parl.gc.ca\/LegisInfo\/BillDetails.aspx?Language=E&amp;Mode=1&amp;billId=6729653\">An Act to Establish a Canadian Environmental Bill of Rights<\/a>&#8221; in Parliament. If it&#8217;s passed, our federal government will have a legal duty to protect Canadians&#8217; right to live in a healthy environment.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">I&#8217;m travelling across Canada with the David Suzuki Foundation&#8217;s\u00a0<a style=\"color: #26797f; text-decoration: none; border-bottom-width: 1px !important; border-bottom-style: dotted !important; border-bottom-color: #9e9e9e !important; margin-bottom: 4px;\" href=\"http:\/\/bluedot.ca\/\">Blue Dot Tour<\/a>\u00a0to encourage people to work for recognition of such a right \u2014 locally, regionally and nationally. At the local level, the idea of recognizing citizens&#8217; right to live in a healthy environment is already taking hold.
