But we\u2019ve got to do more. In a few weeks, I\u2019m heading to Paris to meet with world leaders about a global agreement to meet this\u00a0challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the President\u2019s detractors attacked him for believing something so foolish, the people who have been paying attention to Obama\u2019s actions in recent years have an entirely different, and legitimate, reason to question the President\u2019s message. Namely, President Obama has done very little to fulfill his lofty promises about tackling climate\u00a0change.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we got a rule from the\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">EPA<\/span>\u00a0to limit emissions from coal-fired power plants. Yes, the Keystone\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">XL<\/span>\u00a0pipeline has been rejected (<a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/energy-environment\/259611-keystone-xl-not-dead-yet\" target=\"_blank\">for now<\/a>.) And yes, we finally have a President of the United States that both accepts the science of climate change and believes that we should do something about it. But that\u2019s roughly where the accomplishments\u00a0end.<\/p>\n<p>As President Obama was recording his urgent Facebook plea to act on climate change, a new report came out that received far less fanfare than the President\u2019s social media prowess.
