Saudi Arabia Warns \u201cRumour-Mongers\u201d on Facebook and Twitter Risk EXECUTION<\/a><\/h3>\n

A\u00a0specific moment\u00a0from\u00a0the biopic\u00a0film, The Doors \u2013 starring Val Kilmer \u2013 took up\u00a0residence in\u00a0my subconscious years ago. In\u00a0actuality, it\u2019s two lines of slurred dialogue that randomly and subtly\u00a0float into my\u00a0thoughts as if\u00a0they are\u00a0propelled\u00a0by hot air into the atmosphere. The scene depicts an inebriated Jim Morrison taunting\u00a0an\u00a0audience\u00a0of unsuspecting concert-goers from a stage in Miami, Florida in 1969.\u00a0With the sincerity that only a vainglorious sot could conjure, Morrison towers and growls over the crowd of mostly teenagers and bellows out:\u00a0\u201cAdolf Hitler is alive and well and living in Miami! I f***ed her last night,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>and with the\u00a0following\u00a0alcohol-fueled breath\u00a0he concluded the thought:\u00a0\u201cYou\u2019d all eat sh*t, wouldn\u2019t you?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Because the\u00a0plebeians choose to eternally dine at the media\u2019s trough of propaganda, the ramblings of\u00a0a bloated drunkard are all that make sense after the frustration takes hold. People will believe anything. One man\u2019s lies are another man\u2019s facts.<\/p>\n

The overwhelming rush of bewilderment\u00a0clouds any intellectual discourse I could bring to the topic of Saudi Arabia. I have exasperated myself on the subject to a manipulated mass of deafened sycophants. Just because the veil is lifted doesn\u2019t mean anyone will look.<\/p>\n

So I will leave you with strictly the facts.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0state-run Makkah Newspaper<\/a>\u00a0in Saudi Arabia, the wealthy Gulf-nation is threatening its citizens with the death penalty for spreading rumors about the government on social media.<\/p>\n

An\u00a0anonymous source<\/a>\u00a0within the Ministry of Justice stated only the worst \u201crumour-mongers\u201d will be sentenced to death, while lesser offenders of the new policy\u00a0will be disciplined\u00a0with flogging, imprisonment, travel bans, house arrest, fines and\u00a0social media bans.<\/p>\n
