“It’s Over For Me” Matt Drudge Warns Public “You’re A Pawn In The ‘Ghetto-isation'” Of The Web<\/a><\/h3>\n

The very\u00a0foundation of the free Internet is under severe threat from copyright laws that could ban independent media outlets<\/strong>, according to Matt Drudge.\u00a0“I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it\u2019s over for me,\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0said Drudge, warning web users that they were being pushed “pawn-like” into the cyber “ghettos” of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge asserted that copyright laws which prevent websites from even linking to news stories were being advanced.<\/div>\n

\u201cI had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it\u2019s over for me,\u201d said Drudge. \u201cThey\u2019ve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, you\u2019re out of there. They\u2019re going to make it so you can\u2019t even use headlines.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cTo have a Supreme Court Justice say to me it\u2019s over, they\u2019ve got the votes, which means time is limited,\u201d he added, noting that\u00a0a day was coming when simply operating an independent website could be outlawed<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat will end (it) for me \u2013 fine \u2013 I\u2019ve had a hell of a run,\u201d said Drudge, adding that\u00a0web users were being pushed into the cyber \u201cghettos\u201d of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is ghetto, this is corporate, they\u2019re taking your energy and you\u2019re getting nothing in return \u2013 nothing!\u201d<\/strong><\/u><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
