{"id":12794,"date":"2015-09-30T05:57:55","date_gmt":"2015-09-30T10:57:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=12794"},"modified":"2015-09-30T05:58:26","modified_gmt":"2015-09-30T10:58:26","slug":"this-is-for-the-nothing-is-happening-crowd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=12794","title":{"rendered":"This Is For The \u2018Nothing Is Happening\u2019 Crowd\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/this-is-for-the-nothing-is-happening-crowd\" target=\"_blank\">This Is For The \u2018Nothing Is Happening\u2019 Crowd\u2026<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/this-is-for-the-nothing-is-happening-crowd\/wake-up-public-domain\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9279\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9279\" src=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Wake-Up-Public-Domain-460x345.jpg\" alt=\"Wake Up - Public Domain\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a>A lot of people out there expected something to happen in September that did not ultimately happen.\u00a0 There were all kinds of wild theories floating around, and many of them had no basis in reality whatsoever.\u00a0 But without a doubt, some very important things did happen in September.\u00a0 As I warned about\u00a0<a title=\"ahead of time\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/the-economic-collapse-blog-has-issued-a-red-alert-for-the-last-six-months-of-2015\">ahead of time<\/a>, we are witnessing the most significant global financial meltdown since the end of 2008.\u00a0 All of the largest stock markets in the world\u00a0<a title=\"are crashing simultaneously\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/the-stock-markets-of-the-10-largest-global-economies-are-all-crashing\">are crashing simultaneously<\/a>, and so far the amount of wealth that has been wiped out worldwide is in excess of\u00a0<strong>5 trillion dollars<\/strong>.\u00a0 In addition to stocks, junk bonds are also crashing, and Bank of America says that it is a \u201c<a title=\"slow moving trainwreck that seems to be accelerating\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2015-09-29\/bofa-issues-dramatic-junk-bond-meltdown-warning-train-wreck-accelerating\" target=\"_blank\">slow moving trainwreck that seems to be accelerating<\/a>\u201c.\u00a0 Thanks to the commodity price crash, many of the largest commodity traders on the planet are now imploding.\u00a0 I wrote about the death spiral that has gripped Glencore\u00a0<a title=\"yesterday\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/is-glencore-the-next-lehman-the-worlds-largest-commodities-trading-company-is-toast\">yesterday<\/a>.\u00a0 On Tuesday, the stock price of the largest commodity trader in Asia, the Noble Group,\u00a0<a title=\"plummeted like a rock\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/quote\/NOBL:SP\" target=\"_blank\">plummeted like a rock<\/a>\u00a0and commodity trading giant Trafigura\u00a0<a title=\"appears to be in worse shape\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2015-09-29\/forget-glencore-real-systemic-risk-among-commodity-traders\" target=\"_blank\">appears to be in worse shape<\/a>than either Glencore or the Noble Group.\u00a0 The total collapse of any of them could easily be a bigger event than the implosion of Lehman Brothers in 2008.\u00a0 So I honestly do not understand the \u201cnothing is happening\u201d crowd.\u00a0 It takes ignorance on an almost unbelievable level to try to claim that \u201cnothing is happening\u201d in the financial world right now.<\/p>\n<p>Within the last 60 days, we have seen some things happen that we have never seen before.<\/p>\n<p>For example, did you know that we witnessed the greatest intraday stock market crash in U.S. history on August 24th?<\/p>\n<p>During that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged from a high of 16,459.75 to a low of 15,370.33 before rebounding substantially.
