The leader of New Democracy, Syriza\u2019s main rival, has conceded defeat.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__text text \">\n<p>\u201c<em>The electoral result appears to be concluding with Syriza and Mr Tspiras in the lead<\/em>,\u201d New Democracy leader Vangelis Meimarakis said.\u00a0\u201c<em>I congratulate him and urge him to create the government which is needed and come to parliament<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The conservatives themselves have secured 75 seats.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rtcode\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OektezoFv-0?rel=0\" width=\"690\" height=\"388\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Syriza is still falling short of an outright majority, meaning it will need coalition partners to form a government. The party hopes to complete this task within three days.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing cheering crowds in Athens, Tspiras said that\u00a0<em>\u201cGreece and the Greek people are synonymous with resistance and dignity, and this struggle will be continued together for another four years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We have difficulties ahead, but we are also on firm ground,&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>he added.<em>\u00a0&#8220;We won\u2019t recover from the struggle by magic, but it can happen with hard work.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"rtcode\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fY6bCevfPNg\" width=\"690\" height=\"388\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Greece\u2019s leftist Syriza party is most likely has turned to its former coalition partner \u2013 the right-wing Independent Greeks.
